In the USA in 2000 over 700,000 children were reported missing, almost 2000 a day.
This figure has been steadily rising, it is a world wide trend.
There are no official figures for missing children in China but we have no reason to think they are much different.
Out of these thousands of missing children, very few are actually found.

In China, children who are abducted are often sold to remote villages, some are "sold" to organised gangs who send the children overseas as part drug of and prostitution rings.

In 2003 and 2004, China's police authorities rescued more than 8,000 abducted children.

Many people KNOW something is wrong, or are suspicious of a friend or colleague who has just got a new "family " member, but they say nothing. They are afraid.
Afraid to get "involved."
But that small frightened child is depending on you.

Somewhere in China, right now, maybe next to you, a small child is terrified and crying for its mother.. it is depending on YOU to save it.

It will take time, there is no easy answer, but the sooner we start the sooner we finish.

When we are warm and safe and secure with our family, it is easy to forget this problem, but somewhere in China, a small, frightened child has been forcibly taken from her mummy and daddy.
